Growing up landlocked, nestled between the mountains of the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley in the South West of Germany, I’ve been drawn to the ocean since I can remember. It was landscapes that caught and shaped my interest in photography, and waves and surf culture became what kept me going. But it was the first time I swam with my camera in its new water housing, that I felt a joy I had never felt before, and it ignited a spark that has never stopped burning inside me ever after.
